Finding your family's next trip.

Airbnb invited families from all over the world to effortlessly find their next holiday destination. The UNIT9 team was asked to build a smart and easy-to-use personality quiz.

Users were shown a series of visuals and could swipe each one right (like!) or left (dislike…) to share their preferences. At the end of the experience, the tool determined the family's profile and surfaced bespoke holiday recommendations.

Mobile Wireframing

I produced detailed mobile wireframes covering each step of the experience, from the landing screen through to the swipe test, profile generation, results, and Facebook share flows.

These served as the definitive reference for both the internal team and the client throughout design and build.

Mobile-First User Flow

The tool had to be designed as a mobile-first experience, and intuitive enough that anyone in the family could pick up any device, land on the site and start swiping.

Once the core concept was defined, I mocked up the main user flow with interactive wireframes, so both internal and client teams could get a real feel for the final experience early on.

Tablet & Desktop

At the client's request, I also built tablet and desktop interactive wireframes, to make sure all device types and layouts were properly accounted for.

These were used as references by the design and development teams as the project evolved, covering the full flow from home, to the swipe test, loading, result screens, and Facebook share flows.
